Partnership with Indaver

Johnsons Aggregates and Recycling are delighted to announce our new long-term partnership with Indaver designed to maximise the recovery of valuable and rare materials from the Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA), a byproduct of the waste to energy process, at their Rivenhall Integrated Waste Management Facility.

The facility is coming online this summer and aims to convert 595,000 tonnes of waste through sustainable waste management. The team at the Rivenhall IWMF will be working diligently to use waste in an energy-efficient manner to contribute towards developing a circular economy and resolving part of the raw materials shortage. Johnsons Aggregates will play a pivotal role in supporting Indaver in its aims by recovering metal from the IBA for use as a secondary material in manufacturing and the remaining ash as a low carbon alternative to primary aggregates used in the construction industry.

'To get to this stage of commissioning has taken a lot of hard work. I am really excited to be moving towards first waste and have great confidence that Johnsons Aggregates will be an important partner, moving forward, in ensuring Rivenhall's success.' - John Tatton General Manager, Indaver Rivenhall Limited
